Helvengard
Overview
Helvengard is a cooperative strategy game set in a remote Alpine valley. You and your allies build, defend, and reclaim a shared city under constant pressure from multiple directions.
Helvengard is founded on an oath — a brotherhood of equals who chose to stand together instead of bowing to a king. Each player is one of them: independent, yet bound by a shared promise.
Key Points:
The valley is rich in resources, and many seek to claim it. You defend not for power, but for what you have built together.
Gameplay
In Helvengard, you act within a shared world and shape its outcome through decisions, positioning, and coordination with your allies.
Building
Construct and expand your settlement step by step.
You don’t place buildings freely — every structure grows outward from existing ones, forming a connected stronghold.
Movement
Navigate a vertical world of mountain paths, tunnels, and underground passages.
Mobility is key to reacting quickly and maintaining control.
Defense & Combat
Enemies attack from multiple directions.
Reinforce weak points, hold defensive lines, and push back to reclaim lost territory.
Co-op
Up to four players form a sworn brotherhood.
Each acts independently, but all are bound to defend the same city, the same walls, the same oath.
No Micromanagement
You don’t control individual units. Instead, you define tasks and priorities — what should be built, gathered, defended, or expanded.
The system assigns available workers based on resources, paths, and capacity, and executes these jobs automatically.
You don’t command an army — you shape a living system.
Vision
Helvengard is built on the idea of a sworn brotherhood — a community without rulers, where strength comes from unity, not hierarchy.
Core Principles:
Helvengard is not ruled. It is upheld — by those who chose each other.
